Luke was one of my first friends that I formed in College Station. We quickly built a strong bond through many common interests and our involvement the organization MSC FISH. We were both worked in the Marketing and Merchandise section for the organization’s event: Kyle Field Day. We spent the whole year preparing for the event and when the planned date arrived for the event a massive storm system caused us to delay it till the next weekend. While setting up for the event, Luke and I somehow ended up needing to go to home depot to get both trashcans and 5 gallon buckets. So along with Adrienne Sikes and Kerry Pewitt we ventured off to go get the supplies. With a lot of joking and a little bit of getting distracted, we found the trash cans first then eventually found the buckets. I was bending down to check the prices of the buckets then all of the sudden everything went dark. I was at first overwhelmed and had no idea what was happening, but after hearing Luke’s laugh I realized that he had trapped me in one of the trashcans. We were always joking with each other and there was never a dull moment while we were together. He was one of the closest things to a brother I have ever had. Though he is gone, we still have him with us in our hearts and memories. He lived life to the fullest and I know he is in Heaven smiling down on us. Luke was an inspiration and has left an outstanding legacy. It is crazy to think about what he could have accomplished in another nineteen years. I miss him and don’t go a day with out thinking of him. He was a great man and a great friend. Love you Luke.
